Srixon – ‘The Journey to Better’, the inspirational video of Gonzalo Fdez-Castaño

April 3, 2014 – Continuing our vision of the Srixon promotional campaign, in  the third episode of #JourneyToBetter it is the turn of Spanish player Gonzalo Fernandez-Castaño. Are you ready to start becoming a better golfer?

After the inspirational videos of Graeme McDowell and Keegan Bradley, to have also engaged one of our golfers in an international campaign is worthy of admiration, and even more if it is marked by the charisma of a fighter such as Gonzalo who, like the previous players, is also one of the players of the Z -Star XV golf ball on Tour.

After playing professionally for many years on the European Tour, moving to America and playing the first year on the PGA Tour is like starting as a rookie. It’s been a big step to take the family and move aboard, and hard to leave many friends behind… But if you want to play at the highest level you need to play in America.

A good drive, a good short game, but the putt is perhaps the weakest part of his game, as Gonzalo says in the video. He is spending more time than ever on the putting green, working on getting the consistency he lacks.

‘Good enough is the enemy of better’. A good putt is what separates the good golfers from champions.

“My goal is to become a champion, but the truth is, golf is just a game”, says Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño. “My wife and my kids mean everything to me. My Journey To Better is to win for them.”
