{"id":51624,"date":"2016-07-26T12:16:18","date_gmt":"2016-07-26T10:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mygolfway.com\/?p=51624"},"modified":"2016-07-26T12:16:18","modified_gmt":"2016-07-26T10:16:18","slug":"igtm-exhibitors-generate-more-than-9-5-million-euros-of-business-in-golf-tourism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygolfway.com\/en\/igtm-exhibitors-generate-more-than-9-5-million-euros-of-business-in-golf-tourism\/","title":{"rendered":"IGTM &#8211; Exhibitors generate more than 9.5 million Euros of business in golf tourism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IGTM-2016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-51621\" src=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IGTM-2016.jpg\" alt=\"IGTM-2016\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IGTM-2016.jpg 640w, https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IGTM-2016-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>July 26, 2016 &#8211;<\/strong> Analysis conducted by show organisers <strong>Reed Travel Exhibitions<\/strong> has revealed that exhibitors at <strong>International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) 2015<\/strong> generated more than \u20ac9.5 million of business, as a direct result of attending the event.<\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s premier global event for golf tourism suppliers, buyers and media attracted 500 exhibitors in 2015, with evaluation showing that almost half (48%) negotiated more than \u20ac10,000 of business, while 18% generated more than \u20ac50,000 within the first eight months of attending the show.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>IGTM 2015<\/strong> appointment-based event, which had a record number of scheduled meetings \u2013 over 11,300 \u2013 conducted between buyers and exhibitors over three days, was one of the most successful editions to date.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/naA0Ik2rDis?rel=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Peter Grimster<\/strong>, IGTM Exhibition Manager, said: <em>\u201c2015 was the fourth year of consecutive growth for the global golf travel market. With a year-on-year increase of more than \u20ac500,000 of business generated by exhibitors, IGTM remains the perfect platform for the global golf industry to network and conduct business.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe latest figures from IAGTO\u2019s 2016 First Quarter Golf Tourism Survey, which show golf tour operator sales up 6.5% on average when compared to the same period in 2015, would suggest that this positive industry trend looks set to continue.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>More than 450 companies have already committed to attend IGTM 2016, with 85% of stand space confirmed, including first time exhibitors <strong>Madrid Golf Federation<\/strong> from Spain, <strong>Elite Travel &amp; Tourism<\/strong> from Oman, <strong>Pomorskie Tourist Board<\/strong> from Poland and Italian company <strong>Roncalli Viaggi<\/strong>, highlighting the event\u2019s broad appeal.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IGTM-2016_150x100.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-51619\" src=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IGTM-2016_150x100.png\" alt=\"IGTM-2016_150x100\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>Peter Grimster<\/strong> added: <em>\u201cIn addition to the new exhibitors, we also have over 300 international golf tour operators already registered to attend the event in 2016, including over 50 companies visiting IGTM for the first time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe continually look to attract new companies to the event to further enhance the experience for exhibitors and ensure they continue to achieve a maximum return on investment.
