This colorful animation, which conveys the campaign message in humorous ways, is also promoted in English, French, Spanish and Italian through the campaign&#8217;s social media channels on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Score-the-Real-Thing-1082285155147150\/timeline\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/score_real\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/scoretherealthing\/\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCFOLucV8wTM0K9_CqU6nyiw\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>\u201cScore the Real Thing\u201d<\/strong> campaign is launched in the run-up to the European football championship, which often leads to a spike in sales of fake football jerseys. However, the campaign also targets other products and will for instance also feature animated video\u2019s related to golf and running products.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/FESI-Campaign-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-51048\" src=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/FESI-Campaign-2.jpg\" alt=\"FESI-Campaign-2\" width=\"640\" height=\"357\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/FESI-Campaign-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2016\/07\/FESI-Campaign-2-300x167.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A recent\u00a0study\u00a0by the EUIPO also showed that <strong>\u20ac26.3 billion of revenue<\/strong> is lost annually due to\u00a0counterfeit clothing, footwear and accessories, including sport clothing and footwear. Furthermore, a similar\u00a0study\u00a0showed that\u00a0counterfeit sports equipment, such as footballs, helmets, golf clubs, tennis rackets and skis, cost the industry <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mygolfway.com\/en\/e500-million-lost-every-year-throughout-the-eu-due-to-fake-sports-equipment\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u20ac500 million every year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The core objective of this awareness campaign is to alter the online shopping behaviours of youth. It will highlight the dangers of handing out credit card details to dodgy websites. In addition it will demonstrate the embarrassment of purchasing products, that may turn out to be defective or of sub-standard quality.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dWbOtbQmgnY?rel=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>FESI\u2019s Secretary General <strong>Alberto Bichi<\/strong> comments: \u201c<em>It is crucial to make our youth aware of the detrimental consequences that buying fake sporting goods online may have.
