It sponsors <strong>The Masters<\/strong> and <strong>The Open Championship<\/strong>, and players <strong>like Adam Scott, Martin Kaymer, Louis Oosthuizen, Marcel Siem, Rickie Fowler <\/strong>or <strong>Bernhard Langer<\/strong>, along with important tournaments on the PGA Tour and European Tour. It is the promoter of the <strong>Mercedes Trophy<\/strong>, the massive amateur international tour, which involves some 60,000 players worldwide. So, the only thing Mercedes lacked was to be recognized as a brand of golf clubs.<\/p>\n<p>Some time ago two engineers from <strong>Mercedes-Benz<\/strong> decided to leave the company and focus on the development of better automotive engines, in order to make them faster, more sporting and more sophisticated. They were laying the foundation of today&#8217;s <strong>Mercedes AMG Petronas F1\u00a0<\/strong>racing engines.<\/p>\n<p>It was just two years ago that the F1 Team decided to manufacture its own golf equipment, with a focus similar to that dedicated to motorsports, and taking advantage of its competitive technology with creativity and passio. This gave rise to the <strong>Mercedes AMG F1 Team<\/strong> brand. Attention to the smallest details in every golf product of the collection reflects the same quality, craftsmanship and materials used in creating the W04 F1 cars of <strong>Lewis Hamilton<\/strong> and <strong>Nico Rosberg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Mercedes-AMG-F1-Golf-Rafael Escanez y Roger Albinyana-Foto: \u00a9MABuil\" src=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Mercedes-AMG-F1-Golf-02-Rafael-Escanez-y-Roger-Albinyana.jpg\" alt=\"Mercedes-AMG-F1-Golf-Rafael Escanez y Roger Albinyana-Foto: \u00a9MABuil\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;After a project that lasted for two years, this is the first golf equipment collection by Mercedes, designed by company engineers and supported by its own technology,&#8221;<\/em> says <strong>Rafael Escanez<\/strong>, General Manager of <strong>Hole in 1<\/strong>, the company which carries the exclusive distribution for Spain, Portugal and Andorra (in the picture Rafael Escanez y Roger Albinyana, partners at Hole in 1).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In 2014 its global launch began, and Spain is one of the first markets in which the collection has been presented. It was presented last March at the <strong>MadridGOLF Show<\/strong>, at the same time as in the U.S.A., Korea and the rest of Europe.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;The initial goal is to position Mercedes AMG as a golf brand, with a collection of high quality golf clubs and balls, and the incentive to benefit from the costly aerodynamic analysis which is only within reach of the F1 constructors&#8221;,<\/em> adds <strong>Roger Albinyana<\/strong>, professional player and partner of Hole in 1.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The driver, the fairways and the hybrids all offer a channel in the sole taking advantage of the <strong>Venturi Effect<\/strong>, that is used in F1 cars to increase the air flow over the surface and reduce drag. A set of cavity back irons, three wedges, four models of putter, two balls (including the high performance <strong>Diamond Series<\/strong>), bags and accessories complete the collection, which will soon be completed with pro irons, left-handed clubs and a Lady range.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2014\/03\/02-MadridGOLF-2014-Palos-Mercedes.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"02-MadridGOLF 2014-Palos-Mercedes.
