July 2, 2013 – Bringing the “World of Troon” to your mobile device like never before, Troon‘s free golf course apps have been revamped with the launch of version 2.0 and are now powered by “The Most Comfortable Golf Shoes Ever” – True Linkswear.

""The full-scale launch of the apps’ second generation, available on both iPhone and Android, includes enhanced features like a new scorecard that keeps handicaps and tracks bets and a new “Special Offers” section. The GPS Caddie has also been improved with pinpoint accuracy showing distance to the green from wherever a golfer is standing on the course.

Sharing a similar spirit of innovation and desire to revolutionize the golf industry with products and solutions that make the game more enjoyable, Troon’s 2.0 apps are powered by True Linkswear. Integrated throughout the thoughtful design of each app, the True Linkswear brand attractively presents the major features that make Troon apps unique to the industry. Golfers can choose to engage with True Linkswear directly from within the app, simply by clicking the brand’s logo on the app’s homepage.

“The initial launch of Troon’s mobile apps was a huge success in delivering technology to our customers that would enrich their experience on the golf course,” stated Tim Schantz, Troon’s executive vice president, global development officer.

“Launching a new version with enhanced features coupled with our partnership with True Linkswear, one of golf’s most innovative and fastest-growing brands, only builds upon this success and delivers a product golfers are sure to be excited about.”

The rollout of Troon’s 2.0 apps, powered by True Linkswear is underway now, so check iTunes and Google Play for the latest version of your favorite Troon course app, or look for an update notification on your iPhone or Android smartphone for previously downloaded apps. A list of Troon Apps is also available at http://www.troongolf.com/apps.html.

“The opportunity to present Troon patrons with innovative app technology to enhance their golfing experience was a perfect fit for True. At True Linkswear, we strive to provide golfers with products that enhance the golfer’s life,” stated True president Jeremy Moore.

“This is seen in our drive to continue to provide the most innovative, comfortable and versatile shoes on the market. We are confident that you will enjoy the new enhancements to the Troon app, in the same way we’re confident you’ll enjoy the introduction of our family of True products at a Troon course near you.”

In addition to the Troon apps’ new upgrades, features include a range finder with a shot target that calculates yardages to landing areas, bunkers and greens; “pro tips” detailing the best way to play each hole; and a tee time booking engine for daily-fee courses. Troon’s mobile apps are licensed by AGN Sports, which provides unique mobile application software that enhances user experiences, in entertainment and sporting venues. These applications deliver a wide variety of services, products and solutions for business partners.
