{"id":174078,"date":"2026-02-09T13:45:31","date_gmt":"2026-02-09T11:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mygolfway.com\/?p=174078"},"modified":"2026-02-09T13:45:31","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T11:45:31","slug":"infinitum-resort-prepared-for-ecco-tour-as-season-opener-returns-to-costa-daurada-with-12-days-of-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygolfway.com\/en\/infinitum-resort-prepared-for-ecco-tour-as-season-opener-returns-to-costa-daurada-with-12-days-of-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"INFINITUM Resort \u2013 Prepared for ECCO Tour as season opener returns to Costa Daurada with 12 days of competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-174073\" src=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Infinitum-ECCO-Golf-Tour-26.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">February 9, 2026 &#8211;<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\"> Anticipation is building on Spain\u2019s <b>Costa Daurada<\/b> as<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">INFINITUM<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">prepares to welcome back the <b>ECCO Tour<\/b> for the Danish-based development tour\u2019s season opener for a second successive year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The <b>INFINITUM Spring Series<\/b> will be staged at the award-winning resort from February 21 to March 5 as a field of more than 150 professional golfers and elite amateurs with a handicap of 3.4 or lower compete over three 54-hole tournaments for a total prize fund of \u20ac150,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Underlining INFINITUM\u2019s continued commitment to providing opportunities for golf\u2019s new generation of potential stars, the competition will get underway with the <b>ECCO Spanish Masters<\/b> from February 23\u201325, followed by the <b>INFINITUM Championship<\/b> from February 27 to March 1, before culminating in the <b>ECCO INFINITUM Series Final<\/b> from March 3\u20135.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">The tournaments will be played across the venue\u2019s Lakes course \u2013 which is fully embedded following a major upgrade in 2024 \u2013 and a composite layout formed by the Hills back nine\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">and the Ruins, providing players with a varied and demanding test early in the season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Hills back nine reopened to critical acclaim last autumn following an extensive renovation programme led by Dave Sampson of European Golf Design, marking the halfway point of a two-phase multi-million-euro transformation. The front nine closed in December, with major work planned over the coming months to elevate the course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-174074\" src=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Infinitum-Lakes-Ecco-Tour.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">Joaqu\u00edn Mora Bertr\u00e1n<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"EN-US\">, deputy general manager at INFINITUM, said: <i>\u201cWe are proud to welcome the ECCO Tour back to INFINITUM for the Spring Series in 2026 and to once again host such a strong international field.
