Ltd<\/strong> for an undisclosed amount. The deal represents TaylorMade\u2019s third vertical integration in its golf ball business with the new entity called <strong>TM Golf Ball Korea<\/strong>, joining its other golf ball manufacturing facilities &#8211; <strong>TM Golf Ball South Carolina<\/strong> (US) and <strong>TM Golf Ball Taiwan<\/strong> (TaylorMade-Foremost Golf Co.).<\/p>\n<p>With a growing golf ball global market share, including a 176% growth rate over the last 5 years (*), this strategic acquisition further strengthens TaylorMade\u2019s expansion in the golf ball category. It also enables the company to better service its global businesses who are all experiencing strong demand for its cast urethane TP5\/TP5X and Tour Response models, as well as its ionomer cover models like Distance+.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThis acquisition further supports TM\u2019s strategic plan to create vertical integration in the company\u2019s golf ball supply chain. Ltd<\/strong> has been part of TaylorMade\u2019s golf ball supply chain for over 15 years, making urethane and ionomer balls, as well as mantles for TaylorMade\u2019s TP5\/TP5X facility in Liberty, South Carolina. This is also TaylorMade\u2019s second major investment in golf ball manufacturing in the last 3 years following its joint venture with <strong>Foremost Golf Co. Ltd<\/strong> in 2019 forming \u2013 TM Golf Ball Taiwan.<\/p>\n<p>TaylorMade\u2019s golf ball business has been growing at a rapid rate following innovations such as its 5-layer TP5, TP5X and TP5\/TP5X pix models, played by some of the world\u2019s best athletes \u2013 <strong>Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa and Rickie Fowler<\/strong>.
